It's almost spring...the cedar waxwings have already made their stop-off.
Not so many pine siskins now - this one was showing off. (See, Betsy, isn't he lovely?)
I don't seem to have as many white throated sparrows this year, but still I can hear their beautiful singing.
She's wondering where all the peanuts have gone.

I'll trade you my 30 siskins for just 1 bluebird. Please! LOL! Beautiful photos today - that female cardinal was cute - she looked a little short too!
Oh what great pictures, Helen.... I laughed when I read the comment about the Siskins being so CUTE... HA--now I can agree since most of mine have finally disappeared. I truly do like them (just like I like all birds)--but we just had WAY too many!!! ha ha
Where did you get the mealworm feeder? That looks great.
You take such wonderful photos, Helen. Thanks so much!!
Hugs,
Betsy
All so beautiful Helen! You have such a good bunch!
What a nice variety of birds you have here. Your blues will soon get used to new feeder and be on it non stop! That Siskin has beautiful yellow markings. They are still here too!
Great collection Helen. That Siskin photo is superb !
The jury is still out on the snake. I have someone hypothesizing it's a native brown water snake, which may be the case, especially considering the dimensions you gave, but it also resembles a constrictor. They are out there one way or another ... that's for sure.
What's your secret to getting these critters to sit still long enough for a picture?!! :-)
The over the shoulder is my favourite. Its nice to see what inventory of birds you still have in stock. :)
Those siskins are more colorful than I realized. Nice shots, as always!
Yes,almost here.Your birds are so pretty.
Blessings,Ruth
That's a beautiful series to kick-start spring. I like the way you have waited and captured some amazing poses, the details are sharp as well.
I just absolutely love this time of year too Helen. The birds are all so very active and excited as they start nesting. The singing is incessant... music to my winter weary ears. :c)
Helen: What a neat look at all the birds coming to your area.
I will trade you a bunch of Sheep for those Bluebirds Helen. Now you cannot resist that offer. {:)
These are great shots! Each is a perfect portrait of the bird and its personality. That Pine Siskin shot if very beautiful. Don't often get to see their pretty yellow patches displayed so well! I look forward to your wonderful bluebird shots now that the season is nearing.
Wonderful photos as always. Love the way you captured the siskins. Better refill my thistle feeders, maybe I'll get some siskins on their way north.
Thought I'd try some mealworms this year. See what comes to eat them.

It is nice to see all of my friends here. Nice.
Oh I haven't seen the Cedars much yet. Just a couple of them
I love the Mealy Worm feeder..where do I find that?
The siskins are cute.. I love about all birds
Right now I'm watching a couple of deer in the woods behind our house.
Love them too
Deena

So good to see you Helen, know you've been really busy and seeing all these lovely birds has made the wait worthwhile. What a variety you've taken. Love them all. Happy Easter!
Well I can see I have already posted here Helen, just put it down to the fact that it is 1.26 a.m. and my mind is half asleep. Still glad to pop in again though and look over your post.
I think it's the eyes that make the bluebirds and tufted titmice look so cute. Their eyes are huge. Great photos.
