Another Good Day

Today's Greeting

I love the soft, muted color of the house finch.

And, of course, I love EVERYTHING about these two little boys.

I was excited to see the yellow-bellied sapsucker. I only see them here in the fall, and it's usually only one. This old snag is about 200 ft back from my house, and it's really tall, so I felt lucky to not only see this very handsome bird, but to get a few images.

Helen: I don't know what to say, that grouping of chippers is amazing, Then you show these great bird pictures. I'm in awe.

Funny how when you see one house finch, you can appreciate the subtle color and beauty. A flock at your feeders and all you see is... empty feeders! :c) Beautiful captures, esp. the sapsucker.

Love your yellow-bellied sapsucker photo. I don't see them often either. I had one this spring that really did a number on my maple. Neat rows of weeping holes;) What an unusual little bird.

Great Photos! If you have any tips on how to remove something in photoshop. I am all ears, everytime I've tried, I get the message the image is locked...

Helen, The House Finch looks almost impossible for the camera to focus on. I guess the Sapsucker is from the Woodpecker family.

A super group of photographs. I find the family of chipmunks especially endearing.

I have only ever gotten one series of photos of this bird in my life and it was in the winter. He put a lot of holes in the white oak in search of and getting some sap to flow. I really like these birds and your photo of it.

The chipmunks are adorable. I thought they were on a separate post. ANyway, nice family there.

Great shots. I like those muted colors in the finch too. And are those little squirrels real?

I just adore your bird photos Helen, I have never seen the sapsucker before, and never a bluebird in my garden. Not feeding those the right things am I? As for the chipmunks, I would be overjoyed to see so many. Wonderful, wonderful photos.
