"Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. " USDOL
At Backyard Boutique, I try to support manufacturers of products made in the US - most of our inventory is "proudly made in the USA."
This is the best tribute I can give to the American worker.

BTW, my very best selling feeder is actually made in Canada. Honest!
That's wonderful Helen!
In today's economic climate, I know that can be hard to do...both as to cost and availability of product... so good for you!
Amen. While I realize that some people cannot afford to bypass the box stores filled with products from China, the rest of us should. I've long been at proponent of buying American and buying from local businesses.
Have a great holiday.
Good for you! A beautiful photo and salute the the American worker.
Have a great holiday. In times good and bad we need to support each other!

I salute you for that!
Happy Labor day!
Cheers, Klaus
Helen: Nicely done with a great post for Labor Day.
And a great tribute it is!
Photo is pretty darn good too!
Thanks Helen, what a wonderful country we live in...We try to use only made in USA products for our business also.. Pretty easy since we work with logs(wink)
I commend you for that. I have to admit I haven't paid much attention to what I buy and where it comes from but I will begin to take note. I think we all should and make our own personal statement. It would make a difference.
