Todays Greeting
The hummingbird photos were made with way too little light, but I'll post them anyway - they'll be leaving soon, and I might not get many more.
The little young male has been pretty aggressive - this one has to really watch and wait and make a dash for it when he isn't looking..

Yup, ours are getting fewer too. I suspect they'll be gone by the time Hanna makes her way through here next weekend.
Just lovely Helen.
I think you're hummingbirds are little miracles themselves!!
Helen: Wonderful capture of the hummer, these are amazing photos no matter what light is available.
I think your hummingbird shots are great! You always manage to show the red at the throat and mine are always turned so it looks black or you can't see it at all! Mine are still around and very territorial right now. If they would eat more and chase each other less it would be great :-) I've probably got another month of them here.
We are really enjoying watching the little males take on their color. Wonderful photos and great greeting as well.
I just love finding the juvy males who are getting their rubies. It's interesting to see those that have the few "jewels" and they seem to glow brighter than the adults! My high count is at 6 and I'm hoping I've got a few (3) weeks left...
Wow Helen, he sure is getting grown up looking! Wonderful!
The hummers are still present here in the UP of Michiagn.
I also wanted to let you know that I have nominated you for the Kreativ Blogger award. You can see the post here

I really wanted to share your site with my own blog readers so it was a good chance to do it. Thanks for all your lovely posts!

Wonderful hummers! Still haven't had the chance to shoot any myself! {Sob}.
Cheers, Klaus
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing
I'm glad you posted the hummer's photos. I never get tired of seeing them, clearly frozen in flight. What amazing little creatures.
Marnie
Still beautiful, tho. And, of course, your card is wonderful!
Great shots. These are some amazing little birds. I've come to learn that little twittering sound they make so I know they're near without looking. The last nest I had has been broken apart. I suppose they've taken it to rebuild a nest elsewhere. Sure wish I knew where.
Really great shots of an amazing little bird Helen.
great photos of the hummingbirds.
Those hummingbirds are amazing!
