Change is in the air...

Today's Greeting
I am in the throes of a lot of change at the store - getting an online shopping site, and looking at possibly even moving to a smaller store, if the online works for us. We plan to reduce our physical inventory greatly, and have in our location seed and hardware, which would be difficult to sell online (shipping), as well as "sample" products to demonstrate to our customers and let them see actual items rather than rely on the online pictures and descriptions. Then they will be offered the option of ordering on-line, at a savings. We will have a computer set up and ready, and will help customers who aren't used to this process. We will be able to offer many more items than we can carry in the store. So all this is to say that we hope not to need as much space. I had planned to do a separate blog for the store, but it seems that much of what I do on one would be appropriate for the other, so I'm going to try to combine. I will figure out a way to show where one blog ends and the other begins, and will let my readers know, so you won't be subject to information you might not be interested in. Hopefully, you'll all be interested in the following:
Stay tuned...

Question for you: Our wild bird store is going out of business, much to my dismay...SO FAR the squirrels jump off my safflower cake - will you carry those on line? I love the fact the squirrels don't like it, though I know this is probably fleeting as those beasts are scavengers at best...

As I said before - GOOD luck, Helen!!

Annie - probably not - seed products are so heavy that shipping costs would offset any advantage to ordering online...let me check around a bit more - I'll let you know. Sorry about your bird store...
