We seem to have a catbird triangle - not good in any species!
This is the bird tree.....anybody know what it is? It has cherry-looking bark.
These seed cakes are all pecans, peanuts, and sunflower seeds...they LOVE them.
Look at all those blue layers!
I will be posting some store and gallery news here - I just can't keep up with two separate blogs. My online store guys have me twittering, and face booking, and posting on Craig's List - it seems to be helping, but I feel silly..."Twitter"? what? Bear with me - I'm pedaling as fast as I can!

Twittering does get you out there, but it seems a bit egotistic to me, (and of course I tweet on a fairly regular basis). Lovely photos there, Helen.
Great photos, so many beautiful birds. Just love them all as always. Have a great week and I hope your side-bar sorts itself out soon.
These are gorgeous images! Love those mountains and the beautiful cat bird. I think the tree is a black cherry. That's my name for it, not an official one. Have one in my yard too. Produces tiny little black berries and the tent catapillars build in its branches this time of year.
Your pics of these birds are so endearing, and the one from your post below are beautiful!! don't give up on all these technical thing - you'll find a solution eventually:)
Great photos.Love the last one with the blue layers. So pretty!
Blessings,Ruth
I haven't seen any catbirds this year. Hoping to get a pair. Could your tree be a chokecherry? White blooms and small black, very sour fruit. We had similar ones on the farm years ago. Birds love them.

Helen: That was a neat group of photos of your birds, some of them are unknown to me.
Gorgeous photographs. Lovely birds and, of course, the mountains.
Great series Helen. Especially like the inclusion of the mountain shot. I don't get the twitter thing either but trying to stay with the times and have a site. Blue Skies.
Holy communication meltdown! Hang in there, and please find some time for your excellent photography!
Beautiful and colorful birds pictures, so many species.
To me the tree looks like a flowering dogwood, but there are lots of ornamental cherries, plums, etc that grow there - and not here!
Oops! That OTHER tree looks like a black cherry :)
Dave, THANKS!
This is my first visit to your blog, via Osage + Orange, and it's wonderful! What stunning photographs... they're just beautiful. I've bookmarked you!
So very beautiful - your area of the country is so beautiful.
I love all the birds - you have such a wonderful variety.
