I like the painted one..it's your interpretation of what you saw and it's beautifully done! I think your capture of the evening sky is more striking than the photo and I believe you really enjoyed painting that sky!
You are very talented. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed seeing your work.

Definitely your painting. The clouds have a much more personal feel, and set a richer mood, as if it envelops the viewer into the landscape below. Well done.

They are both beautiful. What a great eye you have for colour and detail.

Both are lovely, but I vote for the painting.

Helen: You are such a talented lady. They are both special in different ways. I can't choose but would be proud of either on my wall.
BTW: I had a hard time with the wording because she is her BFF and some others may be hurt by that statement.

For me, I don't believe one is better than the other, but are different and evoke varying degrees of feeling and sensations to respond to. They capture a beautiful view and slice of country living.

Each is beautiful in its' own way, so I would say enjoy them both.

Both are great, but I will jump off the fence here, as it looks full by all the comments ;-) If I have to chose, I will pick the original. It is so beautiful as it is, it is surreal(did I spell that right?) Beautiful job Helen.
