What a strange week it has been - I was really so anxious about the election, and it went exactly the way I had hoped, but had been afraid to believe; it still seems a little surreal. I've mostly stayed home - had lots of "visitors" - here are a few of them..

Amazing photos ... and a perfect illustration of why there is no reason to leave home.
Wow Helen, you've had a ton of visitors :-) Lovely pics.
Can't believe you still have bluebirds.
And we still have our Obama.
Wow, you had a lot of visitors. These are amazing, as usual. I was a little afraid to hope too but I'm glad it turned out the way it did too. :-)
You have so many beautiful birds Helen. Do you know what sparrow that is?
I'm envious of your late season visitors...we have none to speak of and miss them!
WOW...what a gorgeous series of birds. The eye contact in the first image is my pick of this series...Thomas
Thank you for sharing your beautiful birds.
It has seemed strange this week, hasn't it? My husband mentioned that it felt just like Christmas. I agree.
What a great group of pictures. A perfect time for photos. There are still enough leaves to add color to the background, but not so many that they hide the birds. I wonder if that goldfinch is eating the cleome seed. I've never seen them on my plants.

I just put out a feeder so hopefully I'll have a lot of great visitors too.
I love your style of visitors and you had so many! ..and they all were so photogenic! Lovely post! Thank you!!
Great pictures, Helen!!! I especially love the bludbirds, cardinals and goldfinch. I have all of them also this time of year plus our gang of tufted titmice, chickadees and nuthatch. What is the blackish bird with a little red on his wings?? I haven't seen that one I don't think.
Helen: You have been blessed with a bevy of beauties visiting your yard. I loved the colors of the Bluebird.
The ultimate bird party! Your bluebirds are still my favorite!
Hi Helen, magnificent photos of our feathered friends. You show them to perfection. Can't get enough of them.
Hope they enjoyed their visit. They are beautiful.
LOVED the hawk! The titmouse was adorable, nice well...everything as usual! Bluejay peeking out of the leaves was a great catch! Beautiful colors !!!!!
That's an amazing set of bird images Helen.
Nice collection of shots :)
You were really blessed to have so many visitors to photograph this week. I have started feeding the birds at my deer watching station, but so far I mostly have only nuthatches and Tufted Titmouse, with an occasional cardinal or bluejay.
Lovely, lovely visitors Helen. :c)
Yes it is a new time in our lives...and love all your visitors... smiles..
Same here! Thanks for these beauties!
Cheers, Klaus
You have beautiful visitors, I just love these photos.
I'd stay home if I had all those lovely visitors, too :-) Do your Bluebirds stay there all year?
You have had a lot of visitors. Scons and tes. muffins, waffles, what did you serve them all?
I hope you had a good chat.
These are gorgeous fall photos! Beautiful bluebird, and the blue jay peeking out through the leaves is really fun! Thanks for your recent visit to my blog, too.
Congratulations on your son's wedding!
A gorgeous series of bird photographs! Each one better than the next! I love your visitors!
Marie
