My World

This is My World - in the summertime. These flowers grow in the highway medians. Add that to the rolling hills. It's a beautiful, beautiful area (check the writings of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.)

How wonderful to be down there at a flower's-eye view!! It makes the photo even more special.

They're lovely; I wouldn't mind driving anywhere with them on the roadside. thank you for sharing!

I have never seen so many Cosmos in one place. They are, if not my favorite wildflower, very close to my favorite. I plant a patch of them each year because they enchant me so much. What an incredible thing to put in the medians!

A composition ripe for painting or quilting! I love cosmos wildflowers, many municipalities around me plant wildflowers in the medians! A great idea! Going to your "my world" link to see more!

Oh, I just love cosmos! And what a nice picture! We don't have nice flowers in our median strips but one year as I traveled across North Carolina there were tons of bright orange poppies and I really thought that was beautiful, as well.

Oh my goodness - I used to live in Virginia and I think I may have been in your store! I remember those flowers in the highway medians quite well.

Beautiful Helen... I love seeing the wildflowers along the roads (interstate highways) in the summer. It helps make those boring drives more interesting!!!! When I lived in Texas, we'd drive to the hill country (near Brenham) to see the Blue Bonnets and Indian Paintbrush in bloom. Talk about beauty!!!

Thank you for the wonderful tour. This 2nd week of meme really makes us appreciate the many places that we don't usually see or ever had a chance to visit like the one you showed me in this post. Hope you get to have time to check my world too. Another great job and more to come in the coming weeks.

Absolutely stunning! I can't imagine driving down the interstate and seeing these all over. What a beautiful state it must be! Perfect representation for "My World"

That would be so much nicer than driving down the road and seeing just no color or just grass! I have seen this in NJ and it's just beautiful and inviting. Makes driving a little easier on a trip.

Absolutely beautiful! This is when I like wild flowers best. Also, I wouldn't have been surprised to see Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow and TinMan entering this picture.

I wanted to photograph some cosmos in the median a couple of weeks ago--they were gorgeous! But alas we had a frost since then and when I went back they were a little weary-looking. Too late. Ah, but your photo is great! I enjoyed it!
