"Lord, give me patience, and give it to me now."

The economy and the course of this election have me, like many others I'm sure, antsy and worried...I want the economy fixed, my financial security and my sense of personal security restored, and I want it soon. I believe that it will happen; I doubt that either will be quick. What I can do is keep on working, remain optimistic, and vote. Those things are what I will do.

Today's Greeting

You have to believe Helen,
that's about all you can do.

We have the same concerns, as self-funded retirees, is our investment secure? Withdropping interest rates, belts need to be tightened especially when prices are rising faster than we can keep up with them. I'm glad we are mortal and our needs have a finite time span.
Good luck with your election.

It's all so frustrating, but I agree we must be patient and pray for better times to return. At least the birds and nature remain to give us bright moments in the gloom.

I share your same sentiments - and I agree - patience is the key...

It certainly has lulled us out of a rather false sense of security, hasn't it? All will be well.. all will be well.

I hear you Helen,
I think it's coming to the time when "We The People" need to reflect and take control. Our government is getting way too big and run by the same people who got us into this mess. Start at home and vote these old(and young)hack politicians OUT! Both sides need a good weeding!!

This is all we can do lest our lives become as worthless as the money we've lost!

Perfect post for these troubled times. I need to have the patience of Nature. I'm too much the "give it to me now" type.

Helen: We all are worried when our savings are affected. I do hope all goes well for you. What a neat bird.

Well written. I think we need to hunker down and ride it out. I can't snap my fingers and magically move somewhere else. I guess we're all in this together, eh? :)

Amen! Neat post. We do need patience and I have faith that we will see better times. Some say everything will settle down after the Nov. election. Hope so.

Lovely greeting today.

I think most of us are frightened about the state of our economy. I agree that we all need to take what ever actions we can including remaining optimistic. We must think long and carefully and choose the right, then VOTE.

Most of us have heard stories of the depression of the 30's. I pray our 'leaders' have the wisdom to lead us away from another.

First, love the photo! Second, if it wasn't for my faith in God I'd be frazzled with all this financial and political mess. He will supply all my needs. It's difficult not to look around and see that I sure can't trust in man, ya know?

Yep, you have to believe Helen.
Patience is the key here.
