It is, dare I say it, feeling crisp outside this morning! A welcome respite from the heat. Welcome autumn!

Helen: What a great looking butterfly head on. I saw a pretty black and red butterfly but it didn't let me near.
Thanks for your visits and comments.

Happy first day of Autumn. I'm very much enjoying our crisp weather although I'm sure we have some warmer days ahead.

Happy Fall to you! It's my favorite time of the year! Makes me want to get out and explore new territory! Love the butterfly. They are one of my favorite things to photograph.

What an appropriate photo with the Monarchs headed south. Fall is coming! Not sure I'm ready.

The colours of the butterfly and thistle make such a lovely contrast.
Enjoy your autumn, for me although it shoul be spring, it feels more like another year where summer start before the spring and swelters right through to winter. Fifthe year of drought. No garden water, no water for sheep, pretty tough.

Each year seems to go faster than the one before, when you open your eyes again, it will be Christmas. :)

Hey Helen
Less leaves on the trees mean we get to see more of the birds that are around and you know what coat you have to put on when you go out.

The one flower I didn't photograph this summer was the thistle. I had some growing on my road but the town came by and mowed them down before I had a chance to take some photos.
