Busy Backyard

Today's Greeting
It's not my backyard, but I wish it were. So much nicer than grass.
I feel a little guilty every time I hear someone say they aren't seeing birds. I have so many. And oh, how I love watching them..

After sitting at the computer so much, I think this would feel good to my neck.

Just looking beautiful.

World's most wonderful bluebird!

This little one still begs, but mama and dad have finally gotten firm.
Little fat one. Getting ready to travel.

Licking his lips!

I love the little nutty. I think it was the second bird after the dees that started coming to my feeder and I just love them..all your photos are terrific.

Morning Helen,
Well, my hummers are gone...the starlings are beginning to swell and I saw a plam warbler yesterday! You know what that means!!! Beautiful photos as usual!

My hummers are scarce too. How cute that bluebird is getting a drink!

Helen: All I can say is WOW, what a great series of bird photos. I think the flying hummer is outstanding. You outdid yourself with this series.

I am EXTREMELY envious of all your birdy action - love your bluebirds and nuthatch!

Wonderful! My birds are starting to pick up a bit again. I think nuthatches would be good yoga teachers :-) I've still got some young birds begging, too. Saw a male goldfinch feeding his "baby" and got terrible pictures all out of focus.

They are all beautiful, but my favourite is the bluebird. I saw my first bluebird just this summer. Lovely photos!

And oh, how we love watching your birds as well. We also have some very fat little hummingbirds, much fatter than the others. Lovely photographs.

What wonderful shots today! Isn't it wonderful to have a backyard full of birds? They give me endless enjoyment. I especially enjoyed your cardinal and bluebirds two species I am unable to attract here.

I enjoy your bird images a great deal it is hard for me to get a good picture of the many I have tried. I actually had a few hummers but your lil guy is a fatty. Always such a pleasure to see so many we do not have.

You've fed them well!

I try to grow wildflowers in my yard and all I get is crabgrass and jewelweed. I swear "natural" lawns take as much work as the green ones.

Wow, these are just amazing! I'm determined to do a little more with my yard to draw more birds. They've GOT to be around here somewhere! :-)
