Mountains and boys...

Today's Greeting
The boys had a good time at SNP - they were dazzled by the view of the Shenandoah valley right behind our rooms. Jack said it looked like the mountains were covered in brocolli........ So it does. Who knew.....

Quiet moment (rare)

As expected, we didn't really see a lot of wildlife - the noise the boys made drove almost every critter deep into the woods....the bunnies were braver though.

Watching the bunny...

There don't seem to be nearly as many butterflies in the park this year.

My guys...

Checking out a moth...Can you believe Nick is barefoot?!

View off our balcony..

Sunset over Shenandoah...

Very pretty, but I don't have a clue what it is..

Baby foot with stubbed toes and decorations...

Your standard "OK stand there and smile" photo...

Abrakadabra!

All the photos were taken with the new little Lumix cameras - I like them, but I wish theyhad a viewfinder...I can't see too much in those lcd displays....still, some turn out OK. Thanks to everybody who continued to visit while I was away.

I just love the picts from SNP and your 'boys'. The moth was so pretty, that I looked up pink moths and think that it is a 'Rosy Maple Moth' Just google it and you will see!! I've never seen a pink moth, how pretty it is. Your sunset sky was stunning. Enjoyed your trip. Thanks Helen for sharing.

Another moth challenge :-) As for butterflies, we don't seem to have as many as last year either. Hmmm. Glad you had a great time...it sure looks like you did!

So much energy in boys, isn't there? Glad you all had such a good time. The moth reminds me of cotton candy!

Great series and I've noticed you have a lot of the same flowers we have around here. Some are not blooming here yet though.

Helen: Thanks for sharing your trip. The camera did a great job with these shots. That moth was very special for certain.

Lovely flowers, bunny and boys :-) Ann, at Nature Trails posted one of those moths...Primrose Moth...I think was the name she called it but maybe it has more than one name.
