We live a bit of a strange life - my husband consults for the government in Jax, Fl every other week...we have a condo there, and he's there one week, here the next. So every week-end finds him flying...he has regular non-stop flights that he normally uses, but for some reason he had to change todays flight to one with a layover in Atlanta...now that's almost always bad news. So he got to Atlanta too late to get on the connecting flight here, and the only thing he could gget was into Baltimore/Washington airport....which means I 've got to drive to Baltimore - 70 miles - and the flight has been delayed so it doesn't get in till 9:45.....oh my...well, he's worth it - guess I'll head out. Have a nice Sunday.

VERY cool! Split tongue that is.
Waiting for the airlines to decide what to do with your traveling life?? Not cool at all!
Are all hummer tongues split? I've never seen it before, so I'm fascinated. Sorry about your having to drive to MD, but like birdgirl says, maybe it'll turn out to have a photo op on it.
Helen: The photo on the card is special and I think the hummingbird is wonderful.
Nothing like being stuck in ATL. Hope the drive was not too tiring and that he fully appreciates your willingness to rescue him. ;c)
Very cool split tongue indeed!
That's a gorgeous card picture. Love the hummer....didn't know about the split tongue! Cool! Wonderful that you were able to photograph it. Hope the drive wan't too bad.
Your hummingbird photos are always great!
(You never hear good stories about the airlines unfortunately!)
OK - I wasn't fair - it wasn't the airlines; it was the stormy weather that caused the problem - and the trip was fine - I found the airport in the dark, found my hubby (how did we ever pick up people at airports before cell phones?) and got home - all in the same day.
That is the best hummingbird photo I've seen in quite a while.
Too bad about the re-routing. In the south they say you can't even get to hell without going through Atlanta.
I still can't believe those shots. Thay are great!
Your close-up hummingbird photos bring that those little whizzers to life! Thanks
Beautiful! I've been catching up a little here. I really enjoyed seeing your store!
Wow Helen!!
The split tongue is great!
