Birdbaths, fountains, statuary
Here they are!
These are the most amazing bird figurines anywhere. They are hand-carved of basswood, and have glass eyes and bronze legs..
Poster I made for the front of the store.
OK, that's a good part of it - my "retirement adventure."

Very nice tour of your store. Those rockers look so comfy. Wish I could make your shop one of my places to visit on a regular basis but the drive would be killer.
So it would, Christy...but I'm glad you came by.
First you take my breath away with that fantastic and perfect photograph. Just when I can breathe again, you take me though the lovely shop. I must get up there to the shop and drive through Shenandoah NP again.
Thanks for this great post.
I am verklempt! Do you have those safflower cakes, (they're held together by gelatin)? Our "wild bird center" is going out of business and I am bereft!
Your store looks just wonderful!
What fun to see your shop...especially your sweet cards on display. With your cards, The rockers, the figurines, and oh yes, the poster are very special too. I'm going to surprise you one day and drive up to see it first hand!
We are so lucky. We are only about 3 miles from your store and get to stop in often to get inspired. My favorite things in your shop are things related to bluebirds. Now that I know that you produce those cards, I'm going to buy lots of them. Your book gallery is great too. Maybe I missed this in the shop, but a little area to sit and read would be divine. You would steal folks away from Starbucks across the street. Please, please stay in this shopping center.
We live in Piedmont on a side street off of Piedmont Vista Drive. That arbor and swing backs to Piedmont Vista Drive. We are on a pipestem. I bet you have been by there on business. We got our arbor and swing in Aldie on route #50 at the Amish made furniture place and painted it to match the wood trim on our house. It was a 30'th wedding anniversary present to each other and it is the one anniversary present I remember and use all the time, even in winter.
Wow Helen. Wish we lived closer to you... I'd be emptying your shop of things on a regular basis. It's really lovely. I'd love to have a retirement venture like that. Thanks for the tour!
What a terrific store! Your hard work and knowledge of what is needed is evident! I wish I lived close enough to visit. I really want to buy some of the lovely cards you post all the time. Those are so great. That wood carving is wonderful....I have a friend who is a bird wood carver and exhibits in shows. Takes a lot of talent! Everything looks great. You can be proud of your efforts.
Thanks for the tour of the store. Looks like some place I could spend a lot of time in... and money too probably. LOL!
Helen: Best wishes on a great opening and I do hope your great cards sell well.
Birdlady yours is the ((best kind)) of store! I would be there every day..we'd become great pals! I am sure it is a labor of LoVe!
Your first photo is stunning! Great capture! If you're into cats eyes I have that today! purzzzz.. ^.^ NG

Thanks for the photo tour of your store. I hope the venture works out well for you.
Your cards are so beautiful and should sell quite well. The store looks like a bird watchers paradise.

Thanks for the tour Helen. A really nice light and airy shop with quality displays, which makes it a pleasant experience to shop in.
I loved this tour of your store! What a wonderful place and I could spend hours browsing. I really like the oak rocker too, I have never seen anything like it. Thank you very much for the tour. I hope the 70 mile drive went well.
