96 in the shade!

Yep, it really was - and the pool where tonight's meet was held didn't really have any shade! But I was ready for it, with my Tilley hat, neck cooler, and water...Still it was fun.

Today's Greeting
I missed the bluebird that fledged yesterday, but saw #s 2 and 3 today...This one didn't feel like going into the trees at first - the photo below is just seconds after he flew out..the parents didn't like him out in the open at all, and coaxed him on into the foliage after a few minutes - with me clicking away all the time. All the coaxing reminds of how we would watch our own little ones take those first steps - remember how they would hold on and look at you (clapping and urging), look at the floor as if wondering what's wrong with crawling, do a half squat, stand back up, then bravely take that first step...

Good morning! We did get to meet your son in the store. He spoke to us. Next time we go over for coffee at Starbucks we will stop in and see if you are "home".

When I saw that greeting, all I could think was "do I look fat in this picture?" What a very plump Robin! and as always love the baby blues.
It's been hot here too, was 96 on my porch last evening!

Isn't the heat awful?? We need rain. He looks very cute sitting there looking at the big world for the first time. I smiled reading your words thinking back to my own children's first steps.

How sweet! Lovely photo and I also love the greeting. Gives new meaning to "round robin" doesn't it?
