Baby Album - The "bottle babies" are still here - much longer than the parents normally let them stay after a new brood hatches - and this one really hangs around the nest box a lot - more than I have seen before. He likes to sit on top and also goes inside sometimes - I've heard of them feeding the next brood, but have never seen it - I'll watch him tomorrow to see if I can tell if he's taking food.
Mama (or is it dad?) watching...
My father would have called these guys "Pete and Re-Pete"

Cheers, Klaus
Your pictures are always nice to see.
And your posts speak about a "Kind World".
I like to find sometimes a small break to read your Blog.
(Sorry for my English,it's not my language, and sometimes I wonder about what I write...)
Bye
More often than not, I'll see the male bluebird starting to get annoyed with the bottle babies as they get ready to see another batch fledge. If mine go towards the nest box, he will chase them away.
Love those sweet Thrashers!
I like the Trashers too! :)
There is something about Thrashers. Perhaps they remind me of the pair that nested in my mothers clematis when I was a boy!
Fantastic photographs very well done. They are such beautiful birds.
Maybe your little bluebird is a "mother in training". Love the little Thrashers and my dad used to say that about Pete and Re-Pete, too!
Lin: Truely lovely photos today. I like the one with the bird against the bird house.
Helen: I guess I was just at Sandpipers place and still had the name on my mind.
Lovely birds. It was a pleasure seeing the young ones.
It's always such a treat to see your pictures. I do love the thrashers.
Just love your bird photos! I have lots of birds, but not nearly the variety you do.
How wonderful! Thrashers always dive for cover here! Beautiful pictures, Helen.
I love spring and all the babies.. thanks for sharing Helen.
They are very similar to our Song Thrush Helen, great photos.
Those thrashers are nice to look at and observe! I love the photos you captured of them.
