I only posted one of the photos I took of these little guys - and they were just so cute...the photo above has that classic "baby bird" head on, wide mouth look; and in the one below, they look so soft and sweet.
Can't leave them out of baby post -
There he is! I've been hearing the baby cardinals but couldn't see them, and didn't have time to go looking for them. I was so excited!
He didn't pay me much attention - just munched away.

I've always been amazed at how those wide, soft beaks transform into something small and hard.

Good morning Jalynn....Yes the babies are too cute (no baby kestrals for me, alas - I've never seen one, but your wonderful photos gave me a glimpse.)
Can't go wrong with posting baby photos, everyone loves them.
Great work, Helen! It's amazing what you come up with all the time! Cheers, Klaus
Awwww... look at those swallow beeebies! So cute Helen! I've never seen a baby Red Bellied either. :c)
What lovely pictures! I especially like the sassy bluebird arguing with his dad. And who can resist the swallows?
Our Red-bellied babies are still being fed in the trees. I'm hoping they will be coming to the feeder soon.
Your photos are amazing. Love the babies, it is not longer a "silent spring".
These are the cutest pictures!! I'm amazed by all the wonderful birdlife around you.
Your babies are all so sweet!!
Oops, posted my comment today under yesterdays post.. ..so will try again here.
So glad you got to take some "camera" time. I just love your photos.. thanks for sharing
You have the most spectacular bird photography. Just wonderful.
VERY cool. All these years and I have never seen a baby cardinal!
The birds are always so refreshing. They pick us back up when we need picking up.
Don't know how I missed this post, but glad that I found it! What an explosion of babies you have! All of them are great pictures! That little cardinal looks so "lost". Baby red-bellied is cute, too...I had a young one briefly and it was the first I'd ever seen of a young one. Love the little guys all lined up!
