In the blink of an eye...

That was all the time I had today, but my friends were here and ready for their photo-ops. The bluebirds were all over the place - beautiful, happy - in my face! I decided to give them a break from the camera, so I took a few minutes just to sit and talk to them.....so joyous!

Today's Greeting

Robin loves the cherries...

But like a good parent, gives it up for the baby.

Catbird enjoying seed and pecan cake from "Mr Bird" I see them still going in and out of the nest (which I can't see), so I guess their babies haven't fledged.

C wren fledgling finishing its morning toilette..

The mockingbirds have been sort of scarce the last couple of weeks.

Can't resist those feathers. They may not really be blue, but as far as I'm concerned, if it looks like a rose and smells like a rose......you get the meaning.

I guess I should show this little one the same courtesy I did the baby blues today, but I don't already have a jillion pictures of baby thrashers.

OK, it's early - and I accidentally erased comments from Nick and SAPhotographs instead of publishing them - so sorry - thanks for visiting and your kind words. I may take the comment moderation off and wait to see if any problem arises -

Helen: What an excellant series of pictures of the birds in the cherry tree. Very nicely done with these great pictures.

I especially love today's greeting. Such a profound statement in so few words.

I couldn't read the author's name. Could you give it to us?

Lovely pictures as always.

What wonderful photos. They are all great but I really love the robin with the cherry in his beak.

Oh my! You just keep coming up with these fantastic pictures! That second one is a killer! WOW!

Your robin baby definitely looked anxious for that cherry - very humorous and lovely at the same time.
