Found in the Bird Tree

Today's Greeting
This photo was actually taken by my husband, but it was the next card.
John is a much better photographer than I am, and he taught me everything I know.

Baby Album

Hey lady, take my picture. I'm cute too!

This was exciting...I saw movement in the bird tree, and thought I could see black and white through the foliage. I assumed at first it was a chickadee, but then it moved out enough for me to get a good look....Black and white warbler! Not seen here before.
NOTE: This is a blackpoll warbler. Thank you, Bluebirder, for pointing it out.

Black and white bird in the bright sun with heavy shadows doesn't make for the best exposure, but it was the best I could manage.

One last click; then he was back out of sight.

What a beautiful photo of the flower, it appears that it would blow away at any moment, so delicate.

Oh wow. The warbler is stunning. I got my first photos yesterday of a Baltimore Oriole.

I am so amazed about how close you can get birdlady...what lens are you using!! The Black and White is fantastic! I've had them here but they just pass though as well. I had the same experience as you the first time I saw one here...thought it was a chickadee at first!
Good luck with more species and well done! Love your husbands photo too!!

Great light on the flower. Love all the different poses of the Bluebirds. They're sooooooo cute! The warbler is beautiful. I don't get them as visitors to my yard, but I do sometimes see them on my walks. I love seeing warblers. Congratulations on your new visitor!

Great photos of the black and white warbler, I've only seen one in my life and I didn't get a picture of it.

What a beautiful black and white warbler! I would love to see that in my tree. Wonderful pics of it. I'd say you are as good a photographer as your husband...he taught you well. Both of you take wonderful pics and they look great on those cards.

Today's greeting is beautiful as usual. Your baby album keeps growing lager by the day, with more great images of the Bluebirds.

Beautiful little warbler! Isn't it exciting finding a new bird.
The flower in the first shot is stunning!
Can't get enough of your Bluebird babies. You make them look their best.

Fabulous collection of photos BL but must point out that your warbler is a Blackpoll not a B&W. Sorry to be party-pooper but you must have heard about us Brits and our obsession with your warblers! If not you have now! Lovely post as usual.

Bluebirder, my face is red! And - I stand corrected! Yep - it's a blackpoll - not a stripe on that head. Oops! Thanks for pointing it out.

That card is so beautiful. I can think of so many reasons to send it to someone!!! Until my trip to Central Park I didn't even know about warblers, but now it's cool to see one and actually have an idea what it is! I thought it was a black & white too! dah! Nice capture.

No problem BL it's still a lovely bird though I guess a little commoner than the Black & White. The odd Blackpoll turns up in the UK each October but there have only been half a dozen B&Ws here in my lifetime.
