Backyard Bully
This was pretty amazing - The brown thrasher had an acorn and it kept rolling when he tried to crack it, so he dug a little hole, pushed it in, and then proceeded to peck away! "Bird-brain" is a misnomer.
I almost think the female cardinal is prettier than the male.Posing -
Chipping sparrows have just gotten back.
A flash of sunshine.
Noisy..
Oh-boy...they dropped some!

Great views from the window.
Fabulous shots as always. Thanks so much Helen for sharing your beauty.
Outstanding pictures! A nice way to spend a few minutes when you can get pictures like these!
LOVED all your photos shown today!! That thrasher is quite the "bird brain" I am amazed with Nature! Great photos!!
Thank you for regularly visiting my Arizona desert experiences posts! I am thrilled to have the opporutity to come by yours!hugs NG
Thanks, everybody! We're going out to Shenandoah Nat Park later - had intended to go early this morning, but had to take the car to the shop. We might not see much in the middle of the day, ut I get "withdrawal symptoms" if I don't get out there at least every other week.
That is something else. Others robbing through the thicks to get a glimpse of birds - and you look out the window and get shots like that.
Doesn't seem fair! ;)
Wonderful shots. As always! Cheers, Klaus
Beautiful window shots. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Klaus and Mike. (My husband calls the house my 1/2 mil dollar blind! The neighbors are having decorators in all the time doing draperies, etc, and I'm cutting out screens!) lol
Your few moments yielded some beautiful shots... Them thar birds are no 'bird brains' for sure. They are smart, and so is the resident squirrel. Maybe smarter!! thanks for sharing.
Jalynn - thank you! Yeah, that squirrel doesn't starve!
Oh my what a lovely view from your window!!!! Love your pretty in pink photo of a grey Titmouse and pink Dogwood!!!
Once again it's hard to pick my favorite. Just a wonderful selection of nature's best!
JJ and Shellmo - thanks so much for your kind words. I'm very fortunate.
