Out the Window

I had to work yesterday, so didn't have time to do more than shoot from my "blind," which is my house!....It was cold and blustery again outside anyway, so except for taking the dog for a walk (actually she took me) I stayed inside.

Hope I can a few more images this morning before I leave. It's looking like spring here, but it doesn't feel like it.

Good Morning, Birdlady! They are definitely beautiful shots from your blind. Seems we all are enduring some last little touches of Old Man Winter.

Thanks, aunt b - I'm going to watch for another hour or so - then I gotta go sell some birdseed!

Thanks, Barb. I've been mostly using my back porch for the backyard shots, but discovered I have a better view from my bedroom, with the window open and the screen up! Cheating, I guess; but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Beautiful pictures! It's so nice that they perch outside your window! A beautiful way to begin your day.

Thanks Lin - I don't think I could ever move, unless it would be to the country(and that would be really inconvenient right now, since we're both still working),because of the birds that visit this place. The only problem is I really have a hard time leaving in the mornings...the very best light and the most avian activity right now seems to be around 9:30, when I have to go.

Beautiful photos. I have been taking more of the bluebird pair out my window too.. he has a fascination with his reflection. I think he thinks it's another male after his honey.. lol, anyways I have been trying for days to capture this on film, haven't quite got the effect I am hoping for, but have got some great shots anyhow. thanks for sharing your lovely wildlife.

Thank you, Mike.

Stacey - you're right - he wants the "competition" to leave! I'm anxious to see your results.

birdlady, I love your birds perched on the branches. On down the snake is awesome too! Out the window shots are somehow more relaxing without pressure. I know what you mean about work... I work every afternoon and often wish I could just stay home, but not so!

Klaus, thanks...yep it's a good blind - my husband says he could have gotten me a blind a lot cheaper than that! lol

Jalynn, thanks. I retired and din't like it, but sometimes I just have to wish.....

Oh, I can relate...it only got to about 48* today. It hit 81* on Saturday...but I had to put on my wool coat again to go outside today. Brrrrr! All my blooming flowers sure look pretty from my kitchen window, though. :-)

Wow!! You took those pics from your blind?
Great pictures! Love the attitude of that Cardinal, haha

Farmgirl: Lucky we have windows, huh? Thanks for visiting.

Mel - Thanks!

I love these bird photos, they inspire me to want to go out and take my own.

Thanks, John. Go do it! I'll be watching for them.
