Beautiful Bully

Good morning - In an attempt not to be boring, I have posted only one this morning - these guys don't sit still for their "portaits" very often - not up close any way.

Blue Jays can be so majestic looking and colorful. On the female RWBB. Glad you took time to photograph. A lot of people see a black bird think starling and point the camera somewhere else. Glad you got her! Nice capture.

Helen that is stunning. I think I might have a new " want to see in person" favorite bird. Have a great weekend.

Blue jays are so beautiful. Too bad they're such bullys! They wreak havoc with the other birds at my feeders.

Thank you ladies...

You're right, Birdlady! I can rarely get a nice portrait of a bluejay. I do know a guy who has some that he pays attention to (much like we do the bluebirds)...he feeds them peanuts and gets some beautiful images! He is a handsome fellow for sure!

I feed them peanuts too, but pretty far away from my other feeders. They are really beautiful, but mine are pretty cranky.

nice blog! Glad I found it. I love birds. Obsessed with learning their calls. Found a great website for that. This Jay is a beauty; and you're right they are rotten sometimes!
Yesterday here in the Twin Cities, Minnesota I saw a cardinal that was the most red I've ever seen. Then in Eau Claire, Wisconsin the next day I was priveledged to see a pair in a lilac bush together. I've never seen any together, just calling to each other from tree to tree. Anyway, when I moved to go get my camera, they flew away. Darn!!
