In my first fledgling post last Sunday, I said we had 3 baby bluebirds....but today I discovered that there are 5! I saw one first, and was getting shots, then he flew over to another branch, where I at first counted 3. Then one more peeked out from behind, then all 5 lined up on the branch.
Proud parents with their first brood of the year.... their 16th brood altogether!
I was approaching them very slowly, talking to them as I have been since they hatched.
If you look carefully, the one on the left appears to be feeding its sibling.

I AM SO SO SO SO SO ENVIOUS! Maybe I don't have enough open sky...whatever it is, I've never had bluebirds. (this makes me want to cry.)
How wonderful! Congratulations! I've never seen baby Bluebirds before and they are adorable! I love the close-ups of the trios on the branches.
OOOOO!!! Beautiful babies.. sooooo cute.. thanks so much..
Amazing images all over the last posts I missed, Helen! Wonderful - and one better than the next!
Bravo!
Oh Helen...those are absolutely gorgeous!!!! Your Baby Bluebirds are picture perfect!!!! The close ups on the branches are to die for!
Oh wow! These are all fantastic! You must have been excited to see them all together in the tree like that. All wonderful, but I think that third shot is an award winner. They posed so perfectly for you.
Great images. I've never seen such a large group of little ones like the ones you've captured in this series.
What is it in us that makes us ooooo and ahhhhhh over baby birds. Must be the mother. An early Happy Mothers Day!! What a gift for you. They are just so cute. I love all of them! Pictures are just so sweet. Thanks for sharing.
LOL - Soooo cuuuute!!!
The last picture is just adorable!
These are very beautiful pictures and a wonderful post. Also I love your title page photo!
Wow. wonderful shots of the bluebird chicks :-)
Just amazing, Helen. I wish I had them here where I live. Bluebirds are really scarce here and seldom, if ever seen anymore.
Are you doing anything or do you have anything that you think is an attraction to Bluebirds?
That's one of the most adorable sites I've ever seen. Congratulations on your five babies!
